Cheryl Cole to split from Husband Ashley Cole

Cheryl Cole’s spokesman has announced, following her return from the States, that she is splitting up from husband Ashley Cole.

The announcement was made just hours after Cheryl’s return to the UK and following a barrage of questions from the press.

The Girls Aloud and X-Factors judges spokesman, Sundraj Sreenivasan, said: “Cheryl Cole is separating from her husband Ashley Cole.
“Cheryl asks the media to respect her privacy during this difficult time. We have no further comment to make.”

Cheryl Cole fans around the web are backing her with messages of comfort and sympathy, messages that are also backed up by Cheryl band mates, Girls Aloud.

Having already survived a rough patch in their marriage following earlier infidelity allegations against Ashley Cole in 2008, this latest string of girls and secret text messaging seems to be the straw that has broken the camels back.

During her time in LA, the 26-year-old was pictured being comforted by American dancer Derek Hough, who appears in the video for her latest single.

As of yet Ashley Cole has not been available to comment.
