Cheryl Cole sets sights on US X Factor
Fresh from her Live Lounge appearance on BBC Radio1 yesterday and off the back of some tough questions over the last few weeks around her impending divorce to Ashley Cole, X-Factor judge Cheryl Cole has admitted that she would love the chance to be on the US panel of Xfactor.
Cheryl’s worry though?? That she would not win over the US viewers. Together with this the singer said American audiences would not know who she was, and may not be able to understand her Geordie accent.
Cheryl Cole told Radio 1 presenter Fearne Cotton she would get a real ”buzz” out of doing the show, although she said it was a ”scary” prospect.
Whilst Cheryl has not directly been asked to be involved in the US equivilant of XFactor, she’s knwn to be close to Simon Cowell who is busy preparing the soon to be hit US show.
Continuing the talk with Fearne, Cheryl said: ”It’s kind of really scary, you know? Why would they give a beep what I thought? I think I always feel like that. They don’t know me out there and I’ve got this weird accent and they’d be a bit like, ‘what?’. ”I love the thought of it and I would absolutely love to do it. The talent out there is phenomenal so I would get an absolute buzz out of doing it – but whether or not they would buzz off me is a different thing.”
The Girls Allowed star admitted she was feeling a little ”worse for wear” as she appeared on Cotton’s show to sing live after going on a drinking session with her Girls Aloud band mates.
Cheryl, who pulled out of a number of performances earlier this month because of a chest infection, said: ”No bronchitis but maybe I shouldn’t have drunk so much last night.’
Looks like Cheryl is getting it all back together and World Cup Wags could not be more happy for her.
